I wish to valorize the cultural heritage since ever. With my painting I light reflectors to enhance the beauty of monuments, architecture and landscapes. I imagine fireworks to celebrate the joy that the sight of beauty cause in my heart.
When I was four, an architect, customer of the restaurant of Mom and Dad, told me that we would become colleagues. At that age I draw discos on the trees and the waterfalls of the amusement park.
As a student of the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Naples Federico II I win one of the awards of the national contest 'Quality of Architecture in the historic centers of Italian cities' organized by the Ministry of Posts and Communications.
The following year, in 1999, I graduate with 110 cum laude presenting a thesis on the redevelopment of the waterfront between Bagnoli and Pozzuoli.
I open my study of architecture in Castel Volturno, my hometown.
In 2002 I organize as Mayor's consultant the national competition of Architecture 'The Squares System' to realize seven public spaces in the main localities of the Domitian coast. The competition has a huge success. It involves over one hundred designers, students of all the Italian universities.
In 2003 I win the only 'Fulbright Thomas Foglietta' fellowship in Italy for a project on the economic development of the less industrialized areas of the South (Mezzogiorno).
The Fulbright Commission, which encourages the cultural exchanges between Italy and the United States, awards my proposal for a 'Comparative analysis of urban planning processes between the coastal areas of Naples and Los Angeles'.
I spend one year at the University of California Los Angeles (Department of Urban Planning) and around the States (University of Southern California, University of Illinois, City College of New York).
Inspired by the Californian model, on my return to Italy, I organize for the city of Castel Volturno the International Competition of Architecture 'Living Waterfront'.Thirty design groups and over a hundred professionals presented proposals to make the city's public beaches with spaces dedicated to leisure, sport and culture.
In 2005 I found the Unesco Club of Castel Volturno, of which I am President until 2009. In 2010 I constitute with Prof. Jolanda Capriglione the Unesco Centre of Caserta, of which I am vice-President.
In 2007 I win one out of the five Unesco Vocation Patrimoine fellowship in the world for a two-year Master at the University College Dublin (School of Biology and Environmental Science).
My project involves the establishment of a network among the five Unesco sites of Campania to promote it as a 'World Heritage Region'.
I spend my second year in Paris with an internship at the Unesco and I organize the World Forum of the Association, Centres and Clubs by the title ‘World Heritage and Peace’ at the Alexandrina Library.
Since 2009 with Prof. Carmine Gambardella, President of the Unesco Chair on Cultural Heritage, Landscape and Territorial Governance, I win a PhD in co-supervision [II University of Naples (SUN) – University Paris X], three international research fellowships (SUN), one tutorship for the Jean Monet Master (Benecon – Research Centre of Excellence on Cultural Heritage) and a contract as professor and in charge of international activities at Pegaso University.
In 2014 the City Administration of Capua nominates me Director of the Contemporary Art Museum and Citadel of Art ‘Terra di Lavoro’.
Observing the thirty Artists who have a studio in the Museum encouraged me to turn the sketches I did since I was a child into paintings … after some days I start to paint.
